Terms of Service
The terms that govern your use of Geocodinated.
Last updated September 20, 2026
1. Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account or otherwise using Geocodinated (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. Geocodinated is operated by GeoCodinated Indoor Maps, a sole proprietorship registered in Pakistan (“we”, “us”). We are in the process of registering a GmbH in Germany, and will update these details here once that's complete.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Geocodinated. Paid plans require a credit card and create a binding contract, so we require every user to have the legal capacity to enter into one.
2. The service
Geocodinated lets you upload a floor plan, draw walkable paths and points of interest, and publish an interactive, embeddable 3D indoor map — with wayfinding, QR-code and kiosk support, and a built-in analytics dashboard — for your own website's visitors.
3. Your account
You're responsible for providing accurate information when you register, for safeguarding your password, and for all activity that happens under your account. Tell us right away if you suspect unauthorized access.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Geocodinated to:
- upload or publish illegal content;
- upload content that infringes someone else's intellectual property — you confirm you have the rights to whatever floor plans, images, and points of interest you upload;
- abuse, spam, scrape, or attempt to circumvent our fair-use monitoring (see Section 7); or
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or probe it for vulnerabilities without our prior written permission.
If you name a real person in a point-of-interest description or other map content, keeping that compliant with applicable privacy law is your responsibility — see Section 1 of our Privacy Policy for how we split that responsibility.
5. Your content
You own the maps, floor plans, paths, points of interest, and themes you create (“Your Content”). By using the Service, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, technically process, publicly display, and transmit Your Content — solely to operate and provide the Service to you, including publishing and serving your embeddable map to your own visitors.
This license ends when you delete the content or your account, other than brief residual copies that may persist in backups until they're purged in the ordinary course.
You represent that you have the rights necessary to upload Your Content and that it doesn't infringe any law or third party's rights.
6. Subscriptions and billing
Publishing a map publicly or privately is billed monthly or annually, per map, at the rates shown on our Pricing page. Our payment processor, Paddle, handles payment collection, tax and VAT calculation, and invoicing on our behalf — we never see or store your card details.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date, and you'll be charged the then-current price to the payment method on file with Paddle.
You can cancel anytime, effective at the end of your current billing cycle, no further charges after that. Because you can publish and preview a map for yourself for free before ever going live, you'll always know exactly what you're getting before you pay, so going-live purchases are final and non-refundable. See our Refund Policy for the full detail, including how to cancel and what to do about a billing error.
7. Fair use
Every plan is subject to our fair-use policy — see Pricing for the details. In short: we monitor for abuse, but if your usage is genuinely outside normal use, we'll always talk to you about options before anything changes. Never a surprise bill.
8. Availability
We work to keep Geocodinated available and reliable, but we don't currently offer a formal uptime guarantee or service- level agreement. The Service depends on third-party infrastructure outside our direct control and may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance or a third party's own downtime.
9. Wayfinding and accessibility information
Walkable paths, points of interest, and any route marked as “accessible” are entered and maintained entirely by you, the account holder, based on your own knowledge of your venue. We provide the drawing and tagging tools — we don't independently inspect, verify, audit, or certify the physical accessibility of any venue, or the accuracy of any route.
You're solely responsible for keeping this information accurate, and for your own compliance with any accessibility laws that apply to your venue. We disclaim liability for injury, inconvenience, or other harm arising from inaccurate, outdated, or incorrectly marked route or accessibility information.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. We're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for outages or failures of third-party providers we rely on (including our hosting, database, email, or payment providers). Nothing in this section limits liability that can't be limited by law, including for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or fraud.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim arising out of Your Content, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
12. Termination
You can close your account at any time from Settings, using the self-service Delete Account flow — the same preconditions described in Section 7 of our Privacy Policy apply (no currently published map, no active subscription).
We may suspend or terminate your account for violating these Terms. Except for clear illegal or malicious abuse, we'll talk to you first — consistent with how we handle fair use.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, reflecting where GeoCodinated Indoor Maps is currently registered — we may revisit this if we establish an entity elsewhere in the future.
If a dispute comes up, we ask that you first contact us in writing (below) so we can try to resolve it informally within 30 days. If that doesn't work, the courts of Pakistan have exclusive jurisdiction.
14. Changes to these terms
We'll update the date at the top of this page whenever we make a change. If a change is material, we'll email registered users about it. Continuing to use Geocodinated after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
15. Contact us
