Refund Policy
When you can cancel, when you can't get a refund, and why.
Last updated September 19, 2026
1. Overview
This policy explains cancellation and refunds for Geocodinated subscriptions. It works alongside, and doesn't replace, Section 6 of our Terms of Service, which those terms govern legally.
2. You can cancel anytime
You can cancel a map's subscription at any time from Settings → Billing → Manage billing, which opens your billing portal (hosted by our payment processor, Paddle) where cancellation is self-service. Cancellation is effective at the end of your current billing cycle — you keep access until then, and there are no further charges after that.
3. Going-live purchases are final and non-refundable
Every map can be fully built and previewed for yourself, for free, before you ever pay to publish it live. Because of that, you'll always know exactly what you're getting before you pay — so once you publish a map as public or private, that purchase is final and non-refundable. This applies to both the initial charge and any subsequent renewal charge.
4. Billing errors and duplicate charges
The one exception: if you believe you've been charged in error — for example, a duplicate charge or a clear technical fault on our end — email us (below) and we'll investigate and make it right. Please contact us before opening a chargeback with your bank or card issuer; it's faster for you and avoids unnecessary chargeback fees on both sides.
5. Fair use
Subscriptions are also subject to our fair-use policy — see Pricing for details. We monitor usage for abuse, but we'll always talk to you before anything changes — never a surprise bill, and never a surprise refund denial either.
